Second Task:

Click on this link for one reading activity on jobs' interviews.

After reading, please complete the following tasks:

1.    Answer the questions on a Word doc.
2.    Pick from five to six new vocabulary words, idioms and phrasal verbs; then put them in sentences of your own.
3.    Write a quick summary of the article using all the new vocabulary that you have picked, and then write your own point of view on that topic, but do not exceed 100 words max.
4.   Make sure to ask two of your classmates to edit your work before saving, then send the word doc to your personal email and print once you are done.
5.  Write a comment on the blog to describe this cartoon.

  1. First task:
    To whom it may concern:
I am writing to complain about the poor service I received at your store.
I am very upset about the way I was treated by one of your sales staff. I asked one of the salesperson to help me in my request, but he did not come back to me. I waited about 15 minutes but he did not show up; I left the store without the stuff that I asked about.
Please give this matter your immediate attention.
    Thank you,
    Amneh Abdulrahim

  9. Very good Chang, but you have missed the purpose of the letter on the first line. ''I am writing to ask for a name change....''
